Lazarus, COME FORTH!

Every one of us have that ONE sin that we struggle with the most in this life. That ONE thing that we are more prone or susceptible to. That ONE thing that seems to have a stronghold over our mind and decision making. That ONE thing that keeps calling out to us, to leave Christ, to come back to the world. Don’t compare your struggle to someone elses. It doesn’t matter what it may be, SIN is SIN, and we must all overcome our flesh.

As for me, for example, I get tempted by a lot of things from my past life, but more commonly, I realize most of the temptation comes from men here on Facebook–Homosexual men. I am very much open about my deliverance, though, hint my God-given nickname: “Transparent,” so it always throw me off as to why other men still try to make advances towards me. But God showed me that my testimony is the EXACT reason why I still get hit on. Though you’d assume that people would get the revelation that “deliverance means deliverance,” you have to have a spiritual mind to realize that some people are still blind, dead and slaves to sin, and therefore, they will still come tempt you. Not everyone respects you or your testimony.

Likewise, Satan the devil, or adversary, HATES with a passion, the fact that YOU are an overcomer and that YOU have died to your old sinful ways [of whatever it is], and have become a resurrected, new creation in Christ. So what Satan will do, is send demonized people to you: to steal, KILL and destroy your testimony. Like zombies, these people who are DEAD [in sin], feed off of those people who are ALIVE [in Christ]. Remember, when Jesus brought Lazarus back to a newness of life, many of the religious Jews HATED that, because many lost and hopeless people began to believe in the redeeming power of Jesus, on account of the testimony of Lazarus. So the Jews plotted to murder both Jesus and Lazarus.

“Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.” (John 12:9-11)

Do not allow Satan, his demons, and his messangers to throw you off track or turn you out again through seduction. He wants to take your testimony away from you so that people who are still in the lifestyle that you once used to live, won’t be able to see an example of an overcomer. Thus, they will think, “This is my preset. This is my nature. This is my destiny. I can not and will never change. Jesus hasn’t delivered anyone else, so neither can I be.” Satan doesn’t want others to be free, so therefore, he tried to bind you up again! PLEASE, do not let Satan take away your new life in Christ. Don’t let him take away your testimony. Rather, don’t forfit your testiony for the fleeting pleasures of sin. (For man is only drawn away by his own desires.)

When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. (James 1:13-15)

Do not be ignorant of the devil’s schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11 ). He is an old dog with no new tricks. He will throw the same temptation in your face over and over again, just presented to you in a different way. He knows what tempts you, he knows what turns you on, he knows your soft or weak spot. But I want YOU to know this: Know that you can overcome the temptation through resistance. Resist the temptation, and submit yourself to God, then the devil will flee. (James 4:7 )

If there is anything still in you that loves your old nature, you need to purify yourself of that, because if not, you will be tempted to fall back into sin. Kill your flesh, before your flesh kills your testimony.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Galatians 5:24)
Don’t be SELFISH! If you allow people of the world (or your flesh) to draw you back into your old lifestyle, that means you are giving up on them and on everyone else who is looking up to you and using you as their model for deliverance. People need to see an example, but if you go back, you rob them of that. Don’t be the cause for why someone else won’t be able to see deliverance.

“For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are (Romans 8:19 NLT).”

Yes, people have their own free will to make decisions on whether or not they want to come out, but YOU are a vessel in which God wants to use, to cause people to want to make that decision. YOU are the vessel that God is using so that people will find HOPE in making such a decision. People are attached to your life whether you know it or not, whether you like it or not. Remember that. (People got saved and came to Jesus BECAUSE of the testimony of Lazarus. Likewise, people will be saved on the account of YOUR testimony.) Other’s deliverance is in YOUR testimony.

Come Forth, Lazarus! And whatever your testimony is, keep it ALIVE. Do it for God. Do it for yourself. Do it for others.
